Chris.... don't feel too bad. On the Mac you can still use all kinds of design programs that aren't available on the PC. Like Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress...

Oh, wait. That was back in 1992. Those are all available on the PC now. Right.

Sorry. Well, there's always the smug superiority that comes from owning a Mac.

;-)

Note: I am writing this comment on a Mac. I am system/OS agnostic. I've just worked with lots of designers who feel that owning/using a PC is the computer equivalent of eating soup with your fingers. Plus, those "Mac vs. PC" ads... Geez. Until I disowned him, I was far more like John Oliver than that oily little bastard who was in... what? That movie where he invents his own college? I'd watch those ads and go, "Hell, yes! I'm a PC." If the choice is between those two.

I do wish trueSpace was available free on the Mac, but I don't think it ever has been. I also do wish that my Macophile friends would stop taking everything Steve Jobs says as healing, gospel truth. I swear, if Jobs said, "Our next product is iCanibalism. Go forth and drink the blood of your young!" some of them would jump up and down, clap their hands, and sing, "We can eat babies now! We can eat babies now! Steve says we can eat babies!"

Note the second: The Mac is a fine product. Apple is a great company. My family owns 4 ipods and if I wasn't tied to a 2 year contract to Verizon, I'd probably go get an iPhone. I just don't like the whole "anti-pc" schtick.

Note the third: Chris... thank for the comment. You just caught me on a grumbly morning.
