No, Mark. And I didn't say that your tech didn't have anything to do with you, either. Just that it won't *love* you. We can find profound meaning in our relationships with things and with organizations, places, events, stories, props, etc. I'm in marketing; I ain't got no problem with money. People misquote the scriptures all the time when they say, "Money is the root of all evil." That ain't the way it goes. The real quote is, "Love of money is the root of all evil." The BoSox are worthy of respect, of time, of encouragement, of support, of money, of cheer, of all kinds of things. They have "plenty to do with you."

To the extent that you are trapped in a locker room with some of them and the champagne is flowing freely and folks get misty and, well... one thing leads to another... love can enter the picture, too, sure.

But my point is that *love of things* is inappropriate, and, actually, impossible. We stop at lust. Lust of people is bad, and can be turned, through insight and wisdom, into love. Lust of things can never be "improved" into love of things. Because love is two-way. And things don't love us back.

As such, the Red Sox, as an organization, will never love you, no.
